Brief Description:
Dimpling the rudder and skeleton
Both sides of the 716 were measured, giving me 19/32 of an inch from the edge of the skin at both ends....happy with that.
Same went for the other side and I used a square to make sure the ends towards the trailing edge were lined up.
After ensuring the R-716 rudder bottom strips were done right, I drilled the remaining holes in the R-713 and the R-801 skin.
I unclecoed the rudder, and finished dimpling the skin and the ribs and spars.
Will finish deburring, scotchbriting, cleaning and priming tomorrow.
I'm quite happy with the result I go tfor the rudder...no waves in it and I didn't have to use the hand seamer at all to adjust anything.
The 716 nearest the 710
The 716 nearest the trailing edge
All dimpled
